An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available to study virus-host interactions in human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and oncogenesis in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the Michigan State University. A successful candidate will focus on studying host immune dysregulation during HPV-associated cancer progression using in vitro and in vivo models as well as human specimens. Candidates must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree in virology, immunology, cancer biology, or related fields and published work in peer reviewed journals along with excellent communication skills. Expertise in flow cytometry, cancer mouse models, bioinformatics, and/or translational/preclinical research is desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience and at NIH postdoctoral stipend levels.
